R.O.C.K.’n The Giving Soap

The Giving Soap is now rockin’ both figuratively and literally.

We are thrilled to announce that we have welcomed a new community partner – Reach Out Chatham-Kent (R.O.C.K.) to our charm (a fitting term for a group of hummingbirds, which you can learn more about here).

We have come to know the amazing work R.O.CK. is doing in the community with respect to supporting those that are unhoused and/or experiencing addiction through our super-rad friends at Punk Rock Flea Market Chatham. When we realized our capacity had grown enough to support another organization, we immediately knew Chatham-Kent (a community that has so generously embraced us over the past year) and R.O.C.K. were the perfect fit.

We look forward to nurturing this partnership and seeing how it can grow as it is now more important than ever to take care of each other. Please take a moment to learn more about the work they do: Home · R.O.C.K. (Reach Out Chatham - Kent.

Since The Giving Soap launched last October, we have donated more than 130 bars, or 35 pounds, of soap to the Women’s Interval Home of Sarnia-Lambton and R.O.C.K. to use at its drop-in centres in Chatham and Wallaceburg and in wound healing kits used as part of their outreach work.

We are working hard to finalize our spring market dates so our Chatham-Kent hummingbirds can their hands on The Giving Soap. Hopefully, you’ll be able to see us in early May, but keep an eye on our market schedule as it we will continue to update it as dates are confirmed.

In Sarnia, you can find The Giving Soap at Great Lakes Refill Co. and the Downtown Sarnia Market. We’ll also have it with us for all our markets, so we look forward to seeing you soon.
